Todd Bishop serves as Lead Pastor of CHURCH UNLEASHED, which was started in 2008 by Todd & Mary Bishop with one goal in mind – to reach people with the amazing love of Jesus so they can discover their purpose and potential in Christ. Their vision is to establish faith communities across Long Island to reach the 3 million people that call it home.
In 2009, Todd was recognized by the Assemblies of God as one of the 25 Groundbreaking Church Planters in our movement. He was also honored during the 2009 General Council of the Assemblies of God with an Award of Excellence for his efforts in Church Planting. Todd was awarded the distinction of “Young Alumni of the Year” from Central Bible College in 2010.
In 2012 Todd launched AMPLIFY – a coaching and consulting ministry for church planters and leaders. He has been actively involved in assisting church planters across the nation and has served on numerous committees and organizations which have helped to influence church planting in the United States.
In 2014, Hicksville, New York showered Todd with numerous awards and citations for the work that he has been doing in the city. Community, civic, religious and political leaders from the area have recognized Todd’s love for Long Island.
In 2015, Todd received the prestigious Empowering Long Island Award at Madison Square Garden from the Empowerment Summit Committee. This award was given to recognize Todd’s incredible work in the non-profit sector that has helped empower people to become all that they are designed to be.
Recently Todd has appeared on the international Christian television station, TBN, sharing his story of launching the Point Church. He is also part of Joel and Victoria Osteen’s Champions Network of Pastors from across the nation, which gave Todd the privilege of partnering with them and sharing an encouraging word at Americas Night of Hope at Yankee Stadium in 2014 to a stadium filled with over 40,000 guests.
Todd is married to his beautiful bride, Mary, and they live on Central Long Island with their three children, Malachi, Abigayl and Bethany.
