What comes to mind when you think of the word, “fresh?”

Probably some of the same things that shift into my mind:
*The fresh feeling of a warm shower
*A great hot towel shave at the local barber
*The fresh scent of a burning candle
*Italian bread straight from the bakery
*Dunkin Donuts
*Fresh Fruit

The Bible speaks talks a lot about “fruit” – from Genesis all the way to Revelation.

Jesus used “fruit” as a teaching tool – “If you grow a healthy tree, you’ll pick healthy fruit. If you grow a diseased tree, you’ll pick worm-eaten fruit. The fruit tells you about the tree” (Matthew 12:33 – MSG).

The outcome of a person’s life tells you whether or not that person is good or bad – whether they are positive or negative – and even reveals their deepest passions!

Romans 7:4 teaches us that we need to “bear fruit” for God!

Os Guinness, in his book, Rising to The Call, writes, “The trouble is that, as modern people, we have too much to live with and too little to live for.”

I pray that 2008 will become the greatest year of our lives … because we choose the “live for” something … we live a “fresh” life!
