Sunday Vitals (6.29.08)
Graduation weekend in NY. I had a grad party Friday, Saturday and Sunday! Busy, busy, busy. It was great to see a lot of faces from the “old” church that I haven’t seen in a few months. I love reconnecting.
Sunday was a hot and humid day. I foolishly wore jeans – shorts are a must for summer services at The Point. Unloading the equipment is no problem – still relatively cool. Reloading the equipment is a task – unbelievably hot in the trailer! Inside the theater it was very cool. The service was great! Worship was amazing – so much feedback. The message received a lot of positive feedback – so, I imagine it was good. The only negative was we actually went almost 1 hour and 20 minutes. Somehow the timing was off today – added 10 minutes to the service — oops! No one complained though – at least not to me!
Here’s the vitals:
1. 75 people (including 2 children)
2. 2 first time guests
One of the highlights today was communion. I love communion and I love making it a part of the service, not just an event! It was great!
I spoke with one of our guests at the end of the service. She said, “I loved it. I will definitely be back next week.” That’s how we want every guest to feel at the end of their experience with us.
