The Point is at the place in its short existence that we need to start hiring additional staff for the work load and the sake of “next level” internal growth.  Hiring staff is a pretty tricky and stressful part of pastoring – I have done this a few times in my short tenure.  At my previous church I help to hire the current Children’s Pastor, Student Pastor and Worship Pastor.  Now I stand as the decision-maker and I need to hire the right person for the right position.

  • Office Assistant – I just hired a part-time office assistant that will begin tomorrow.  Very excited about this staff addition.  The great thing about this new office assistant is that she is already on our team.
  • Worship Pastor – I am seriously on the search for a worship pastor that will develop, direct and devote their life to taking our music to a greater level.  Today I have spent a large part of it looking through resumes and websites.  It is a stressful process.
Hiring staff is a critical part of ministry growth.  I believe that we need to hire ahead of the game.  You can’t wait until they’re needed … usually you are in over your head!!!
