Blurred: How to Stay Focused?

One of the toughest things for just about anyone to master is the ability to focus.  The summer weather always pushes people to daydream and not focus on the task at hand.  No matter what it is!  Today has been one of those days.  Yes, even Todd Bishop gets distracted.

So how do I stay focused?

1.  Start the day off right.
Each day I start with exercise – both spiritual and physical.

2.  Begin with the end in mind.
Figure out what you hope to accomplish each day.  Create a to-do list.

3.   Honor your lunch break and keep it holy.
A lot of people skip lunch or work through it.  Every person needs this 45-60 minutes breather in the middle of the day to REFRESH!

4.  Drink water.
It may sound corny but water is the best energy agent you have.  Drink plenty.

5.  Get up and stretch every 30-45 minutes.
Don’t get caught in front of the computer or in meetings.  Plan some stretch breaks – coffee, restroom, a non-smoking smoke break.

6.  Remind yourself why you do what you do.
This is easy for me.  I do what I do because I love to see lives changed.  Why do you do what you do?  If you don’t love it maybe it is time for a change.

7.  Always ask God to help you.
Never discount the power of prayer.  God wants you to succeed so ask him for his help.

Enjoy your life!  It matters to God and others!
