Mirror

Since I started planning the MIRACLES series for the POINT CHURCH I have had to look in my personal mirror to check my life systems/choices/dreams/beliefs/goals.  It has not been easy.  But looking in the mirror allows you to see what you can’t see when going through life.

I think too often we find ourselves looking through windows (at someone elses life) instead of looking at mirrors (at our own life).  Windows are ok, but if that is our focus we end up trying to replicate and duplicate.  But when we look into our own lives – deep into the mirror of who we are – we find healing, help and hope for life.  And we also uncover the real us and how God designed us to be.

I love Psalm 139.  It drives my ok-ness with my weirdness.  Here it is … portions at least:  “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s wombI praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful.  I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to beHow precious to me are your thoughts, O God! How vast is the sum of them!”

Look in the mirror of your life today and see what God sees everyday!!!
