Your Seed Determines Your Harvest.
You produce what you plant. That’s why it is so important to make sure that we are planting the right seeds in our lives. Because what we plant in the soils of our mind we will reap in the harvest of our life. There is a sign along the Alaskan Highway that reads: “Choose your rut carefully, you’ll be in it for the next 200 miles.” The decisions you make certainly determine your destiny.
Your seed determines your harvest.
Last week I had a conversation with someone who was given some negative news from their doctor – it was a pretty significant report that would have affected many areas of their life. They believed God on Friday – they chose to plant the seed of God has this. They took an additional test and on Monday was told the original test was a “false positive.” They planted the right seed and received a healing harvest.
There are two types of seeds that you can plant in your life. First, are the negative seeds. This seems so obvious, but many of us plant too many negative seeds in our life. In fact, one negative seed can grow to infect your whole life. Don’t hold on to the negative. When negative things happen … thank God you survived them. You can make statements over your life like, “I can’t do that” or “I am not gifted enough” – but if you do you will become a product of your own words.
But then there are the positive seeds. These are the seeds of faith, serving, love, helping others, encouraging someone and the list could go on. If you want a good harvest, plant some good seeds.
If you want a different harvest – change the seeds you are sowing. Remind others and yourself that God has “good things stored up for you.” Everything may have not happened the way you had hoped, but plant a positive seed – “God has a plan in all of this.”
Your seed will determine your harvest.
