Fulfill His Will.

One of the most important decisions we can ever make with our lives is what we do in this life that impacts eternity. So often we can get consumed with car payments, hectic schedules, work overload and relational frustrations, but we believe that fulfilling God’s destiny should be on the top of our lists.

Many years ago C.T. Studd wrote a poem called, “Only One Life.” Here’s the last stanza:

“Only one life, ’twill soon be past,
Only what’s done for Christ will last.
And when I am dying, how happy I’ll be,
If the lamp of my life has been burned out for Thee.”

There can be no greater joy than using our lives for God. The Apostle Paul said it this way, “You take over. I’m about to die, my life an offering on God’s altar. This is the only race worth running. I’ve run hard right to the finish, believed all the way” (2 Timothy 4:6-7). Paul believed that living his life for Christ was the most important thing he could ever do.

We truly desire for our lives to make an eternal impact. We do not just want to make a dent – we want to make a difference. Do you remember the movie, ‘Gladiator?’ There is a great line in the movie. It is, “What we do in life echoes in eternity.” Friend, how is your life echoing? We want to have a large echo that ripples through Heaven of what we have done for God.

We want to finish the work. Jesus said, “My nourishment comes from doing the will of God, who sent me, and from finishing his work” (John 4:34). That is our aim and mission; to finish the work and to serve completely, love unconditionally and impact eternity.

What are you doing with what God has given you? That’s the million dollar question. Let’s make a commitment to use our skills, talents and abilities to plunder Hell and populate Heaven. Let’s invest in our families and influence our friends. Let’s serve the less fortunate and bless the hurting. Let’s help the struggling and motivate the discouraged. Friend, let’s use every moment to fulfill His will for our lives. This is our time to shine bright for God. Let’s do it with every ounce of passion we have.
